Threads (developed by Meta), has now been launched on social media as a direct competitor for Twitter, what are your initial thoughts about it?
Published 71 responses on 07 Jul 2023
In my honest opinion I did not even know about this app so for me it was not really a competition haha but anyways I think there should not be any problem as soon as there’s a free market and anyone is free to develop an app and put it in the market… I used to use Facebook like crazy few years ago then was Instagram and now the real trend is tik tok and this be continuing like this because when something new comes mostly of us are interested in that because is new

This is what other community members thought:As a 17yr old girl living in a low income area the value of real estate to me is two fold. The increasing adoption of remote work and flexible living arrangements offers opportunities to people like me to explore new areas and potentially find more affordable housing option’s. It opens up the possibility of living in places that were previously out of reach due to location constraints. This can be beneficial in terms of cost and quality of life. However location still hopds importance in some aspects. Even with remote work access to amentiies quality healthcare education and job opportunities may vary based on the area.

I think that this makes properties even more expensive as if it close to local work place then it becomes more expense as more people want to have a space that lives close to them but at the same time some place might have decreasing value because people are not going to work so the place becomes more rundown and therefore the prices goes down but also flexibility might be better as the they get more time at home and they might improve the housing for real estate and this might sell for more money which can be a big bonus for some people

I think the human rights issues that are the most pressing are sadly and still racist homophobia around gays or lesbians and around foreigners . I think it is important to be open to new cultures activities religions and perspectives . I think the solution is education since being children and kids in school and education in each homes I think this would be a great solution for everyone everyone everyone everyone human rights are needed in this country

I feel like pride month is a good effort to support the needs of the LGBTQ+ community. However this does not mean it cannot be improved upon. For example a lot of brands see pride month as an opportunity to promote their business by associating it with the LGBTQ+ community and making themselves seem as supportive as possible. In reality however a lot of brands do very little to effectively help the needs of the LGBTQ+ community and just use the month as promotion. It would be nice to see a larger effort from large multinational companies to support the cause they claim to support instead of only using the cause for their own betterment.

Pride Month holds significant importance and impact on society. It serves as a time for the community to celebrate diversity raise awareness about the challenges they face and advocate for equal rights and acceptance. Here are a few suggestions:Ongoing Advocacy: Extend the focus beyond Pride Month to ensure continuous efforts in addressing the needs and concerns of the LGBTQ+ community throughout the year. This includes lobbying for policy changes supporting anti-discrimination laws and working towards equal rights globally.Intersectionality: Recognize and address the unique challenges faced by individuals within the LGBTQ+ community who may experience additional forms of discrimination due to their race ethnicity gender identity socioeconomic status or disability. Intersectional approaches are crucial to ensure inclusivity and equality for all environments for LGBTQ+ individuals

I see freedom of speech as the most fundamentally challenged issue in both developing and developed nations. Russians Chinese and other state controlled citizens face restrictions on what they can say and have limited range to express any ideas against the status que. The same is true for those in developed economies as corporations like Facebook can deem change election outcomes and shape the discourse around free speech. We need to press these platform shard to advocate for free speech and boycott those that do not

I think the importance of real estate is still high. Even though remote work is increasing and people want to live more flexible there is still the need of security that people can get from real estate. Moreover owning a real estate is a good investment and generates a good side income. I would say that young people aim to live freely and don’t want to be tied to one location but as soon as they want to start a family it is important to have a stable and consistent location.

I'm not reallyban adept person in the field of real estate but I believe it would strive at a higher rate because the days of renting or buying property in close proximity to work places will be long gone customers will now be able to adequately search for a residential property that fits the bill in terms of affordable aesthetic and ao much more factors one would sacrifice for proximity. It would also benefit the owners especially those that own residential properties outside the commercial powerhouses of the city. Properties would sell out quicker and to those who would sincerely appreciate the whole package. Its a win win for me.

I think the value of real estate should be less about location and more about access. Remote work too is a great thing with regard to accessibility for a variety of possible reasons. That being said having a place to comfortably do that remote work with reliable WiFi is a multi-level privilege. An increase in flexibility around living arrangements hypothetically would definitely up what I would consider “value” with regard to real estate. The problem however is that real estate is largely improving for those who can afford to take advantage of it.

In my opinion it is not the same at all. In some points like the not really needed second location except of their home. Also Real estate certainly is experiencing a shift in value due to the increasing adoption of remote work and flexible living arrangements. While location has traditionally been a major factor in real estate value its importance may be changing. People's priorities are evolving and factors such as access to amenities quality of life and affordability are gaining significance. Although some individuals might still prefer to live in central locations due to convenience or personal preferences others are now seeking properties with larger spaces home offices and outdoor areas. The value of real estate is becoming more tied to the overall living experience and the ability to accommodate remote work needs.

I think pride month is important for LGBT members of the community in order to represent them. However I do not personally relate to it as a heterosexual. Additionally I do not agree with the way pride month is effectively used as a way for companies to more accurately market their brand and products as they will incorporate the pride flag into their logo and promote diversity and acceptance into the their slogan but only do this for the month of pride and not at other times in the year. So while I think pride month is a good idea I feel there is a problem with misuse and misrepresentation of it in our society.

I think it plays a big role but for certain things such as the selling of perfumes (sometimes). By creating this story and in including people from different diverse backgrounds it can create more of an interest and allows consumers to connect more with the product that is being sold. There is no one brand really that sticks out in terms of having created a story that fully resonates with me especially when it feels like brands use this as a generic almost forced" selling point."

Threads is the new popular social media and communications app that is being labeled as the direct adversary and competitor to twitter indeed it has been quite hyped for obtaining 1 million subscribers in the first hours of it’s launch but this is due in part for it being the property of a social media and technology giant which is meta world famous and with a lot of ressources. I think personally that it is still too early to know if it is worth the hype or not. With time we will see if it is original and different enough from twitter to be more popular or if it will fall under the shadow of the class blue bird.

In my opinion locations will still hold a capital importance as so long as there are people or human beings who need a location or a place to live at. The increasing adoption of remote work and the potential for more flexible living arrangements might change some caracters of real estate as it is known in the past but it still has the same importance as before. People who are working at home look for a place the can work and live at at the same time. That is why real estate won't lose it's value if it is adapted to the needs of the people on the market.

I think there is too much competition in the media world today and that yes I acknowledge that businesses are always striving to beat the other and be the most used platform but surely we have to draw the line somewhere. Threads was only created in my eyes to offer another space as opposed to Twitter due to it going downhill ever since Elon Musk took over. It was created as another space to be welcomed by content creators and influencers. The motivation in creating this platform was all wrong.

I'm not very keen on it I am not a huge fan of Meta as a corporation and would much rather a competitor which is new on the market gain popularity. I have downloaded it and it's okay but doesn't really wow me. I don't like that it's linked to instagram and would rather it have its own login. I also wish there were hashtags! Overall I think it will get some initial popularity but I think since it feels like just a twitter clone most people will just stay on Twitter.

Personally I think pride month is very important it allows people within the community to feel noticed and safe as well as validated. I feel that mostly within the younger generations it’s well respected and can be appreciated as a happy time to come together and celebrate. However. Think some people in older generations don’t fully grasp the importance of pride and just don’t want to accept that things are changing. I feel within the UK the community is widely supported however there’s still a lot of changes to be made. I think that there are still a lot of taboos that need to be broken as well as education about it in schools.

To start of I am a Religious person and against lgbt... But I will focus in the movement itseld and why I absolutely detest it. Number one love is love" this is absolutely wrong. Incest is disguisting animal intercourse is pedophilia is ( which lgbt is swarmed with ). The thing on why most people hate them is how intrusive the movement is. If you are gay and whatever then its your thing I couldnt care less if you are proud of it. But why do I have to be proud of it? Why should children get this forced up their throats? - Domt get me started on the children - There are a ton of points mainly the intrusiveness and pedophilia which its filled with to the brim on "events" which is why they get banned too. I cant cover all with the character limkt but I think I very briefly summarized my point. Quick summary: I do not support lgbt in any way. I do not care if you are gay AS LONG AS you dont go around forcing it up on everyow or make it your personality I dont see any problem"

Remote work has allowed many people more flexibility in where they live as they are no longer constrained by proximity to their workplace. This has led to an increase in the demand for housing in suburban and rural areas far from densely populated urban centers. People can now prioritize factors like quality of life access to nature and living space rather than just focusing on location close to work. It has also allowed new more flexible living arrangements to emerge such as the ability to work from home or have more flexible work hours. Although many people are willing to move away from urban centers location is still relevant in terms of access to services and amenities infrastructure transportation quality of schools entertainment options and closeness to family and friends. Additionally certain areas remain highly attractive due to their natural beauty favorable climate or unique features that cannot be easily replicated elsewhere.

I think the issue about global human rights in China is the most pressing one. In a society like today how can humans just accept the fact that people are dying as slaves just do that we can have a cheap teeshirt. We should use digital splat forms ta spread videos about the real impact of people buying those clothes to make people understand that this is real and this shouldn’t be. We should use social medias to make the voice of ouïgours heard.

This morning when I opened instagram I was confused by the tag and a number showing up on profiles and was told by a friend that this new app is launched. So after a quick research about thread I came to the conclusion that its complete waste of time. It's basically a twitter clone just with less features. And just like tik tok it's being advertised on another social media app that's what annoys me. So I'll definitely won't be downloading it since I already got twitter and don't need the exact same app with just less features :).

I believe thatProde month is an important time to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and raise awareness of the issues they face. It provides a platform for people to express themselves and feel proud of theor identities. However i think its important to remember that prode month is one month out of the year and the support that the communtiy need should be year wide and ongoing. We need to continue to push for equal opportunity rights and protection for the LGBTQ community and work to create a society where everyone can live without fear of discrimination or violence.

Pride Month is very important. It makes sure the LGBTQ+ community is being represented. It raises awareness of the fact that there are still people not willing to accept the community or worse. In many countries it's forbidden to be part of the LGBTQ+ community. I think it effectively addresses and supports the needs and concerns of the LGBTQ+ community but there is still a lot that has to be done / improve. Acceptance is so important and I cannot stress that enough. Some people do not feel safe to come out to family/friends and I believe this is a stigma we need to break.

I love that meta has launched their new app threads. In my opinion twitter had a lot of trouble during the last 2-3 years and somehow it’s not getting better. They are being criticized for many things like censuring free speech and similar things. Threads now has the opportunity to do things better because it is a brand new app and people have less experience and expectations toward it. They can do things different very easily. I think threads will be way more effective in reaching younger people because it’s connected to Instagram. That’s make it more interesting than twitter. Fr

the growing demand for work at home increases the demand for homes with greater comfort and security for the time that the person spends inside the house to reduce the tendency of anxiety and depression. the location depends a lot on the function if you don't need to go to the office in hybrid mode several people tend to work and travel at the same time which can lead to a much more flexible life. I believe that the importance of the real state will continue to grow and improve

The main brand thst comes to me for story telling roles is of chanel showing a story of a young independent women during the war creating extravagant designs of clothing and perfumes cresting an image of luxury when the world seemed doomed. Now a brand with a huge cult following with millions of pound profit per day allows a stunning progression of story telling from a small company to a world renowned one. Clearly the story of coco chanel is one for the history books

The human rights issues that are most prevalent in today's society would have to be the way the workers are being treated regarding our clothing products and events in third world countries. The way human rights were violated during the world cup and body batting an eye shows just how little people care about those who died or were enslaved to build a stadium. We could use digital platforms to show what is really happening there. In this day and age we are all connected via the internet it should be visible just how bad those people have it.

Price is important because it gives people a space to be themselves and do act like they want to. I think it is a shame that it has become rather commercialised and that companies use it as an excuse to boost sales but the overall ideas behind it are positive. It is sad that there needs to be a time dedicated fo people being able to be proud of themselves but I guess that is the state of the world for the time being so it is best to try and work around these things

I believe it is important to raise awareness because as a collective they have been punished and humiliated for their sexualities for centuries. However I believe dedicating it to merely a month is a disservice and not particularly effective. LGBT rights and history should be something that is educated and taught all year round as opposed to confining it to a month. I also believe the corporate side of pride month (apps changing their logos to rainbows) is merely a careless cheap cash-grab

In my personal opinion I think threads was an unnecessary social media platform that was not needed. The reason I think this way is because there are so many social media platforms that you can use to stay in contact with friends through posting pictures or tweets or direct messaging. I think it’s a copy cat of Twitter but with a twist of using texting as direct messages. It also adds to the community who uses social media in a bad way like stalking etc. it’s another platform that could be use negatively and I personally think it was not necessary

I believe issues surrounding the human right to shelter/housing are incredibly pressing in todays society on an international scale not only is there a lack of housing and many people out on the street but often housing provided is not of a high enough standard for people to live in. I think social media platforms could be a way to raise awareness by giving people who have experienced the growing housing crisis a platform to share their own stories and raise support.

I think location in the sense of proximity to a workplace isn’t as important anymore: a lot of people only go to the workplace a few days every week and spend the rest of the time at work at their home. On the other hand it is important to be close to stores good education and to be in a nice neighbourhood. I don’t think the value of real estate is decreased because of the remote work as other factors are still important in regards to location and a workplace is only one of the many factors.

Even though I support the Pride Month and like the idea I think it became more of a party and a showroom than something that shows the importance of the LGTB+ community. It is true that with the social media and all the people that attends this meetings the expansion of the movement had grown a lot in the past years and a lot of new people finally met a group where they could feel save. However a lot of other people just use this month to gain followers on their social media and not really support this cause. In my opinion we should have a weekend or so for partying and having fun activities and the rest should be meetings where everyone can share their experiences and asking the government or the people in charge for those changes we are looking for.

Storytelling plays a huge role in my perception of luxury items in my opinion. It's like the old money aesthetic the longevity of a luxury brand plays absolutely in it's favor as it speaks of class and elegance think brands as chanel Tiffany's etc you know it's good because after all this time they're still relevant and they mean status and history even though it sounds classist. Anniversaries mean the product they sell is still good and relevant nowadays

In my opinion the biggest human issue in todays society is definitely the issues surrounding climate change and this is because due to how much fossil fuels are being burned from the rise long use of cars this has caused climate change to become worse and this is heavily impacting our plants. I think location still holds importance. Along with the adoption of remote work there is an increasing inclination towards hybrid mode of working that involves online as well as offline activities. Though a lot of people have started focusing on finding cheaper places to live due to the rising costs Gen Z still places importance on location selecting places that are centrally located near all the conveniences. Thus while work doesn’t necessarily play a huge factor in deciding the location other factors like convenience and rent still create an impact.

After the COVID crisis we retained certain practices such as wearing masks and using hydroalcoholic gel. But the most important thing today is teleworking. It's a way of learning. For example computer specialists can afford to telework 40% of the time because the work doesn't necessarily require an office unlike companies such as law firms or supermarkets. So it's impossible for physical jobs to telework. I spent two years studying at home but in the end after enjoying it from the start this way of learning is showing its limits and learning from others from physical exams is becoming more and more difficult.

I think it looks good. I have been influenced a bit. As a lot of the people who I follow with social media following are fully embracing it. I’m not sure if that’s they’re desire to stay relevant and follow the trends or if it’s genuine. But the reviews I’ve seen are good. I’ve also heard about the amount of downloads it has gotten and how rapidly they keep getting higher. I think it has all the potential to overthrow Twitter. There has been so many issues with since Elon Musk took over. And this seems to be a simplified version of Twitter before all the updates. I initially thought this could either really bad or really good. I’m inclined towards believing it’s going really well for threads.

The most pressing humans rights issue I feel in society today is the poor and minority groups never getting any media coverage. It’s always about the Rick getting all the media coverage about what is happening to them. The most recent example is the Titan submarine and a refugee ship sinking. Nobody talked about the refugee ship and this definitely isn’t the first incident where a refugee ship full of so many people has sank. These are real hardships that are not getting ANY attention and it’s so sad. We are always on social media and I feel like it is our responsibility to spread awareness about these issues. Additionally we should use digital platforms to promote their safety and well-being.

I saw that Mark Zuckerberg just created this new social network called Threads i don't really know the reason but it just happened following an exchange of words with Twitter CEO Elon Musk. In fact I think that it was launched after a Twitter fall where Elon Musk put a limit to how many tweets people could see in one day. Mark Zuckerberg took profit of the situation to launch his app and gain users with this however I don't really think that this new app will steel users frow Twitter. Elon Musk already eliminated this tweet limit.

I don’t really care for the history of luxury brands. I think that if I like the product or think it looks good I’ll buy it regardless of the backstory. Obviously if the history of the brand is negative I most likely will not spend my money there. It’s not something I’d like to support if the brand is made off of something negative. I also am not very aware of the backstory of many brands. I don’t hear about it often in the media it’s more something I’d probably hear about if I went looking for it.

In my opinion, a luxury and high-end brand should include a good advertising and marketing system that sells the product to potential buyers and/or purchasers. It should also signal the exclusivity or relevance of the product in question. On the other hand, it should be something novel or classic that includes some aspect that enhances the figure of the buyers and is innovative in the sense of purchase. In this way it can stand out as a luxury brand.

I feel like location is probably even more important because you spend more time at your home. If I worked at home I would more so want my home to be in an area with a lot of amenities and close to my favorite places than if I spent a lot of my time at a physical work location. I would be unhappy if I worked from home in a neighborhood or city that was dull or didn’t support my ideal lifestyle because you’re there all the time and there’s no real escape like going to work at an office would be.

I don’t think it has the same appeal as Twitter if I’m being honest. Mostly to do with the fact that I barely have any wine that I know in real life on my Twitter and having threads being connected with my instagram makes it feel so restrictive and I can’t fully be how I want to be or express myself how I usually do without sounding weird l. I also think that it’s weird that I’m unable to find threads made by other people without searching up their actual account. It just seem like a poorly made sub-app to compete with Twitter. Maybe they will try and develop it later since it’s very new but for now I’m not entirely with it l. Also the fact that the data that it collects has caused it not to be able to be downloaded in the EU is quite strange l we know that Zuckerberg has had court problems in the past to do with his data and the fact that you’re unable to delete your threads account without deleting your instagram is so weird and not a good idea at all. Juste seems very dodgy.

I think that pride month is completely necessary to celebrate since there is still a lot to be done in favor of the lgtbq+ collective and that is how it is being demonstrated these days where at least in my country (Spain) there is a lot of controversy with the support that is receiving pride. The city councils are prohibiting the display of the lgtbq+ flag during this month which seems horrifying to me and shows that there is still a lot to be done to make love free and equality whoever you like. It seems that instead of advancing we are going backwards on this issue and that is why we must continue fighting and making the collective visible. There are still many things to change

Pride is definitely celebrated a lot more in the last few years there's less stigma and even people that aren't gay get involved which I think is good. Its fun colourful and brings people together so I like it. At work we had a day where everyone wore rainbow colours we did glitter on our faces like we were at a festival too. Everyone was happy and its nice to get involved in supporting marginalised groups. The only thing I'd add to pride is maybe showing the negative impact of people not being supported by their community for who they are. Things like mental health issues family relationships breaking down etc. Some charities show the sad side of things to tug on peoples heart strings maybe thjs would make people take the topic more seriously or make them donate to charities too.

Yes I believe location has still a big importance as in the past we not only moved for the location of our offices but we look about other things depending on our priorities: an area near the bars and clubs or near schools for your kids the centre where you can find everything that you need. So maybe some people willl leave the city because they no longer want to live there because they don't need to as they have the option remote work but it won't affect the real estate market

I think that it’s effect is forced beyond what the purpose of pride is. For instance pride month and LGBTQ+ people wish to be respected and celebrate. How’re corporations politicians and others like to push LGBTQ+ people and representation beyond what it stands for. They are trying to make people irritated by the representation and deliberately causing debate and conflict. I think that corporations and politicians should have no say or association with the LGBTQ community S they are ruining their values and the beauty of the celebration.

It might be a good thing and get ahead from f’twitter however this app raise questions about a possible monopolistic situation from meta that already own Facebook instagram messenger WhatsApp this monopolistic situation is also an issue for the user as all its data’s is on with and might be used or sold without the total awareness of final user. In my opinion I think that history can be very important when it comes to raise the value of a luxury item. Most of the times these items has a story that gives it more importance like how it was used or who used it in the past. Examples of these items could be crowns held by kings or weapons used in an important battle. But also sometimes objects don't need to have a story to have more value. Sometimes only the characteristics of the object can be enough for people to be considered a luxury item

My initial impressions of Threads the social media platform created by Meta are neutrally positive. Similar to Twitter the site looks to have an interactive user interface. With possibilities for private messaging and group chats the messaging and communication facilities appear to be strong and might support interesting talks. Although Threads intrigues me I'd like to learn more about its user base community involvement and market difference. My ability to evaluate the platform's potential impact as a Twitter competitor and its long-term viability will depend on my ability to comprehend its distinctive features and innovations. It's important to note that my opinions are based on scant information and further research into the Threads platform and user evaluations would be required to make a more thorough and knowledgeable opinion.

In the history of inventions there has allways been the debate of the intellectual propiety. But on the other hand most of the inventions and creations are inspired or mixet one with the other and this is a valid way to innobate in my opinion. If some company has a good product but another company recreates its invention with somehow an improvement this should be accepted as a new and different creation. For example the reels from instagram are a direct competitor for the original tiktok.

I think the liberty of speech is most pressing in today's society specially the right to protest. I live in France and after an unfortunate incident a huge protest has started but this ''protest'' have generated to something bigger to riot. Some french people are asuming that it is okay to break building and infrastructures they parents work in just to defend something they don't even beleive in. All of this is done to grab unnecessary attention. We can use digital plateforme to raise awarness and not spread hate and wrong informations.

Storytelling is important to feel connected to the brand. As an example the house of Gucci thanks to its biopic gave a whole history around the creation of the brand and the links between all the people linked to it. Other brands such as Chanel Vivienne Westwood or even Schiaparelli explained their history and how the brands were created which served the same purpose as above. Typically brands that have difficult beginnings and/or too bold tastes can be famous after for this specific feature. As an example the French brand Jaquemus showed how difficult it was for him to find a place in the society in which only enormous companies had a place which leads the general public to like it more.

It seems like it has been made so that companies can put their adverts on to the site as many pulled out when Elon bought twitter and allowed free speech on the app. Furthermore. Also currently the app is very buggy however with more updates it will get better. In terms of use I do see it becoming a rival to twitter as it will attract all the people that left twitter because of the uncersoring that Elon done when the company was bought

I actually don’t find this such a big deal for the sole reason that all social media platforms are becoming the same and has been becoming the same for years already. First the Stories now available in instagram as well as fasebook and the recent hit - reels on instagram tik toks on tiktok youtube shorts on YouTube - this option is now available everywhere. So copying twitter as threads is just another thing that is gonna be common on more than one platform. These platforms are now just aiming to keep users on the app and not on what the original idea was.

I personally have never used twitter and threads is very similar to that. I feel like Instagram has copied a lot of elements from different platforms the biggest being the stories from Snapchat. And now threads from twitter. I won’t be using it as I had no interest in twitter and Instagram making threads isn’t gonna change my mind on it. I feel like it’s pointless because it’s almost the same you still post pictures and write a caption with people like and commenting

I do feel like it is very important purely because it gives a chance for people who are unrepresented a chance to feel hears and Sean. It also shows how people can live each other no matter what. It also allows people to feel welcomed and not scared to come out. I don’t think celebrating it should be forced as people have different views which is ok but it shouldn’t turn into anything hateful.I would not make any changes I enjoy seeing people be happy

Personally brand history and storytelling plays a significant role but I also consider the state of the brand today. For example after learning about Alexander Mcqueen his life and his work I became more invested in his brand and the collections that were released and the stories they told. Storytelling is also important to me when luxury clothing brands release collections because I enjoy discovering the meaning of the art- especially concerning Haute Couture.

I think pride month is a very important month for members of the LGBTQ+ community and it is growing in its significance. It means spreading awareness love and information. It provides a platform to people who would otherwise be silenced. However I think some brands do take advantage of the month to present their brand as some and their company may not even genuinely align themselves with this community. I’m not soo sure what changes could be brought forward as I believe that is something that LGBTQ+ people themselves would feel

I think that this lawsuit is absolutely ludicrous. They are two completely different apps. Twitter does use a thread so does Reddit so does Facebook. So are twitter going go sue all of these large competitors aswell I think not. In my opinion the billion dollar company twitter needs to chill out and let some of the smaller companies take on more responsibility. However why can’t twitter and meta join together for a joint venture? Surely this would be much better for both companies.

My initial thoughts on threads are largely neutral. Having used the platform itself within the first 24 hours of its launch I am aware the general reception has been positive particularly from app users themselves. However I see the app as merely a competitor in a crowded and dominated space - with a lack of originality making it repetitive and unoriginal. It is clear the app has used Twitter as a blueprint and seems to have capitalised on recent developments within Twitter to launch this app. Overall I have negative initial thoughts on Threads.

In my honest opinion I couldn’t give a shit about the history of a luxury brand. I don’t really care for luxury brands in general but especially their stories are not appealing to me. It’s always the same crap that they lie about to have more sales. If i like a product and need it then I will buy it. It will not buy a product because of the brand. I also can’t really thing of a story of a brand that I associated with that brand. The stories almost all are dull and repetitive

I think that. While the intentions of pride month are admirable the execution of it is pitiful. Pride month has become an excuse to put rainbows on everything and pretend that there is real support and ally’s hip going on within major corporations. I feel like pride month would be more effective if it was a month in which we celebrate everything that has been accomplished throughout the rest of the year rather than use those 4 weeks to act like the LGBTQ community is getting the help and support it truly needs

Storytelling and brand history play a significant role in shaping my perception of a luxury brand. When a brand effectively tells its story and showcases its rich history it creates a sense of authenticity and exclusivity. One brand whose story resonates with me is Vivienne Westwood. The brand has a captivating narrative that reflects its rebellious type spirit. Westwood's designs have consistently challenged the conventional norms of fashion making bold statements and pushing boundaries. The brand's history is intertwined with the punk movement. This spirit is still evident in Vivienne Westwood's collections today as the brand continues to embrace sustainability and advocate for social and environmental causes. The brand's story and commitment to its principles make it stand out in the luxury fashion industry and it resonates with me because it represents a unique blend of creativity activism and individuality.
